General Information for new families

We respect families as children’s first and most important educators.

We know that children learn best when strong partnerships are formed between families and preschool.

Every day at Bega Preschool you will find a welcoming and inclusive environment, with regular and open communication

What to bring to preschool each day

What you need to bring to preschool everyday

What to pack:

  • Please label everything

  • Spare set of clothes

  • A drink bottle with water only. Water is the healthiest drink for children.

Fruit juices have high levels of sugar and don’t have much fibre. Children don’t need extra sugar – but they do need fibre. That’s why it’s better for them to eat a piece of fruit, rather than drink juice.

2 LUNCH BOXES

We encourage healthy choices that support your child’s wellbeing and development. We ask that you try to pack lunches

where possible that have little or no packaging, to support our sustainability efforts at preschool.

Big Lunch: is eaten first and it is good to include sandwiches, wraps, pasta, rice and protein. Vegetables, yoghurt or

cheese are also healthy inclusions.

Little lunch: is eaten in the afternoon and could include fresh fruit and healthy snacks.

The funding for your child’s fee relief will be provided to our service, directly from the NSW Government, and we will pass this fee relief on to you

as a reduction to your fees.  You cannot receive fee relief at more than one early childhood education service.
